Date: January 20th, 2012

As I am sure owners of the Nokia Lumia 800 will know, some of the Nokia Windows Phone handsets have been experiencing battery drainage problems, and not too long ago Nokia did say they would deliver an update for the Nokia Lumia 800 that would sort out the battery issues on or about the 18th of this month.

Well according to the guys over at Phone Arena by way of Professeurthibault.fr, it appears that old Nokia has kept their word and is now rolling out the battery draining fix update, although apparently only in France at the moment.

Word is the update has made its way to almost all French wireless providers with the exception of SFR but word is SFR will gain the Nokia Lumia 800 update in a couple of days.

The firmware update will bring the Nokia Lumia 800 up to version 1600.2483.8106.11500 and is said to fix that battery problem along with delivering better wireless connectivity and numerous improvements to the Windows Phone.

Thus it would appear that if you have been experiencing the battery draining problem on your Nokia Lumia 800 handset, for those in France the problem should be sorted, however if you live elsewhere and are affected by the issue then for now it is a waiting game for Nokia to push out the update to your region.

So with that said we’d like to ask our readers if you own a Nokia Lumia 800, are you experiencing the battery drainage problem?

My Lumia 800
(1600.2483.8107.11501) problems include:-

1. Moving tiles long distances on the home screen does not flow properly. You need to drop the tile first before continuing.
2. Keyboard has intermittent delays causing the user to see the same character 2 or 3 times.
3. Critical alarm goes off too early and minutes later the OS battery is no longer critical.
4. Moving between songs there is a loud noise at zero volume and 1-30 levels. While playing a song, lock the phone and wait 5 seconds. Then unlock your phone and quickly move between songs, there is no noise for a few seconds and then it starts again.
5. Sound quality is poor from the loud speaker, Bluetooth and audio jack.
6. Nokia feedback within the settings tab has been limited to once only now. Nokia does not seem interested in customers providing ongoing feedback.
7. The Nokia drive direction voice occasionally stutters, taking about a minute to complete one command.
8. Video play back frames are missed on some videos. Audio keeps working.
9. Battery does not charge to manufactures specification.
10. Battery saver function is not working properly. On HTC HD7, Battery Saver (low) makes a big different.
11. Camera quality is poor for a Nokia phone.
12. Camera is set to macro by default.
13. Video auto focus still needs more improvements.
14. Low volume level is too high from audio jack. High volume level from the speaker is too low. Poor bass levels.

OS UI now flows smoother on the new firmware.

Nokia 800 Windows Phone teased in UK Adverts: Video » Phone Reviews All NewsiPhoneBlackBerryAndroidHTCLGMotorolaSamsungSony EricssonNokiaVideo   Add Mark Chubb (Phones Review CEO) to your Circles on Google+Nokia 800 Windows Phone teased in UK Adverts: VideoUnder: Mobile Phone Video News, Nokia
Date: October 24th, 2011

The Nokia faithful over here in the UK have been getting very slight glimpses of the new Windows Phone smartphone that Nokia should be officially announcing at some stage in the game, presumably at Nokia World 2011 in London on Wednesday, the Windows Phone that is currently being teased on UK television is of course the Nokia 800, internally known as the Nokia SeaRay.

The extremely shot clips of the Nokia 800 are so short you could easily miss them if not watching the ad breaks during the X Factor UK as the tease clips are just one second long, but thanks to the guys over at My Nokia Blog we have a video showing all the tease shots of the Nokia 800 for your viewing pleasure below.

As far as we are aware, spec wise the Nokia 800 will offer a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touch screen, 1.4GH processor, 16GB built in storage and run the latest version of the Windows Phone operating system, Mango, but other than that not much else is known at this point, but with Nokia World only a few days away more should be revealed.

I have to be honest here, I did see the very short teases during the adverts but to be quite honesty they didn’t show that much and anyone could have missed them and not even realised that they are of Nokia’s first Windows Phone Mango handset.

Word has it the Nokia 800 is expected to become available in November, with the 15th of that month being a possibility, although of course not release date has been confirmed as yet.

Anyway I’ll stop babbling on right there and let you head on down to mash that play button and check out these teasing glimpses of the Nokia 800, and do let us know if you are hoping to snap up the Nokia Windows Phone once it arrives…enjoy.

Nokia may be moved to Android

Although Nokia is the largest producer of mobile phone in the business in the past, many noted that Nokia Symbian move to another platform to compete in the market for a smartphone today and which may also be on the cards.

In accordance with article about cellphone registering via their forums and the Wall Street Journal may take into account to switch to another platform, which may end Android or even the Windows phone 7.

Apparently after Q4 report conference call with the Nokia, the Nokia chief exec Stephen Elop, apparently talked about Nokia changes the "quick" and consider "different patterns of ecosystem". This statement caused investors to believe that Nokia may be preparing for the adoption of the new smartphone platform.

According to the CSS Insight analyst Geoff Blaber, it became clear that, Elop was hinting that Nokia is considering or already have decided to adopt the new operating system, and most likely Blaber claimed that Android would be.

Opportunity ended on Windows phone 7, Android Blaber says that, as the Android phone is much larger than Windows 7, the move to Nokia to the larger platform is more likely.

Well Guys over at NokNok came from what in their opinion whether you want to see Nokia N9, so let's have a look and see if you agree with your requirements ...

The first Nokia said that handset Nokia N8 will be the last of its N series with Symbian, this should mean that Nokia N9 will stop playing to load new sport MeeGo.

Then Nokia N9 discard high-resolution screen sports to deliver the best experience possible for the user, together with the Nokia Nokia ClearBlack technology, which seems to be placing more devices.

How about a larger camera? We know, as well as Nokia N8 supports images and video, taking and at least may compete some digital cameras carried out by the 12-megapixel camera or higher packaging to Nokia N9 together with Carl Zeiss Optics, it would be cool.

Then you want Removable Storage, removable storage for all your needs in your phone, which would be good for Nokia N9 sorting slot microSD, which support up to 32 cards.

Finally, for those who prefer the physical keyboard QWERTY we hope Nokia N9 will come from a slide with QWERTY as Nokia E7 and do not necessarily add large bulk to the device.

Therefore, your ideas of what they want to see in Nokia N9, but we want to know what Our readers would like to see in the form of Nokia N9, then feel free shout your preferences in our region, the comments below.
